Skincare Routine

Follow my blog with Bloglovin When trying out new skincare products it's terrifying at first because you do not know whether it will work on your skin or not. To ensure you do not get a reaction on your skin do research on the ingredients that are in the product. The best way for you to ensure you do not damage your skin is to have knowledge of what you are using and having knowledge of what your skin needs.

In addition, the best way to clear your skin is WATER, honestly, it something that we all forget to drink in our busy lives. Drinking the correct amount of water will help your skin become clear and look healthy. When I had chest infection I was drinking a lot of water compared to what I normally drink and my skin cleared up so nicely. It was clear and I had no spots nothing!!! water is going to be your best friend when it comes to skincare.

DISCLAIMER: The products that work for me does not mean it will work for you, please do your research before buying any products. I have normal to dry sensitive skin

I start off my skincare routine with the Garnier Micellar Water (click here). I use it with a cotton pad and get all the dirt off my face and neck. I find doing this first makes my face feel less dry because once I use this my face becomes dry, therefore, I like to use this first. In addition, I feel this is a crucial step for me because it takes most of the dirt off my face.

I'll leave my face for 2 minutes after before going to wash my face. When washing my face I have two face washes that I use.

This is my favourite face wash I use it every day whether it is morning or night. It's the L'oreal clay detox foam wash (click here). After using this my face feels amazing, clean and fresh. When using this you can feel the dirt come out your face.

However, I do swap the face wash to an exfoliating one because with your skin you should be exfoliating at least 3 times a week. In addition, with my skin, if I do not exfoliate I get these white spots and it's so hard to get rid of them, therefore, to avoid that I use the Clean and Clear daily wash (click here) during the evening.

This definitely makes my skin feel so clean. I love the feeling after using this face wash. This has helped with my spots and got rid of them when I have used this more on the regular side. However, sometimes I do forget to use this because it's in my draws not in the bathroom like the other face wash is but when I do remember to use it, it feels amazing.

I do not use this peel every day, I only use it 3 times a week. This peel is the best part of my skincare routine. When I do not drink enough water my skin starts getting a texture and feels rough which I really do not like. But after using this it makes my skin feel very soft and smooth. (click here)

This always makes a difference in my skin when I use it. I really do want to dry the drop of light one as well because that brightens your skin which I need.

When I do my skincare routine in the morning the cream I would use to moisturise my face is The Body Shop Vitamin E moisture cream (click here). I love this cream so much. I would cry if they discontinued it. It has made a massive impact on my skin and has changed it a lot. I used to use a thick cream on my skin which my skin did not like and a Mac MUA told me to change my creams anyways I got this cream in a gift set because I wanted to try the oil serum. I tried this and my skin felt extremely hydrated and it lasted the whole day.

I only use this in summer because it does not disappear when I sweat it locks in and keeps my face moisturised throughout the day without me needing to put more on. This is my 5th one since I bought it. I 100% recommend this to all the dry skin people out there.

When I do my night time skin care routine I use the night time version of the Vitamin E cream. It is thicker than the morning one but for me works because I mix in the oil serum in it. This cream is fantastic for those who want to wake up with moisturised skin the morning. (click here)

As I mentioned before I mix the night time cream and oil serum together and dab it on my face. I do not moisturise it in like the morning cream. The reason I do this is so that my skin absorbs the products itself instead of me rubbing it in. I've seen a huge difference when doing that. My skin is more moisturised and hydrating for a longer period of time when I let my skin absorb the product. (click here)

Sorry mine looks rough but that's because I use it a lot. This has lasted me over a year. You do not need to use a lot, however, me being me I use 5-6 drops. This is the best oil serum I've tried and it genuinely works. realistically speaking I do not want to use other oils because I find this is amazing however, I have 4 bottles that I need to use up and try.

After I've done all that the last thing I apply is the lip butter from Nieva. I do not know why I didn't buy this before because it's amazing. When I use liquid lipsticks on a regular basis my lips get really dry and this rescues them. It makes your lips feel so moisturised and hydrating. It also smells delicious. (click here)

Sometimes if I have time I use masks after I've used face wash and before I apply my cream. If you would like a review on the masks I use do let me know in the comments below.

These products I love a lot and they have changed my skin in a better way. I used to have a lot of redness on my cheeks but now it has gone down compared to before. If you do purchase these products make sure you do your research beforehand. Also, my skin type is normal to dry and I'm sensitive. These have worked for me without irritating my skin what so ever.
