Today’s blog post is on the Hourglass Ambient lighting edit palette. I’ve never owned any hourglass products at all, I’ve only seen reviews on it or read reviews on it. When I found out about this palette it was sold out everywhere and it was limited edition. I was so upset because I really wanted this palette, firstly it was very beautiful and secondly it worked out cheaper for me to try the highlighter, blush and bronzer for only £65. Okay, £65 is expensive however one powder costs £40 which means if I got a  highlighter, blush and bronzer it would cost me £120 so in my crazy makeup addict mind I saved money.  Anyways back to my point, I saw on Sal’s* Instagram it came back and I bought it straight away. It was the best £65 well £60 I spent.

So this palette has 6 shades in it which are

  • Iridescent Strobe Light - A soft pink pearl powder that gives a refined glow to the complexion.
  • Dim Light - A neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights the complexion.
  • Diffused Light - A soft, warm, pale yellow powder that conceals redness and gives skin clarity.
  • Luminous Flush - A champagne rose blush fused with luminous light to evoke a candlelit glimmer.
  • Mood Exposure - A soft plum blush fused with mood light to brighten the complexion.
  • Luminous Bronze Light - A medium tan shade fused with luminous light for a softer, candlelit warmth.

This palette is gorgeous! I used it for the first time the other day and it was AMAZING!!!
I don't wear blusher because my cheeks get red anyways, so I don't see the point. The only blushes I own are the Benefit Rockateur, Jaclyn Hill's one from her face palette and these ones. I don't like wearing blusher at all. HOWEVER this palette changed my mind, the blushes are so beautiful like it looked very natural and soft, not the wrong shade of blush but perfect. When using it I used both and it was magnificent, my friends complimented my blush too which is a first because I don't wear any.

The bronzer is divine (trying to use other words instead of amazing). I only own the Benefit Hoola bronzer. I own contour powders but not bronzers. This bronzer is amazing, I used it as a contour powder but I didn't want it to be a sharp contour, more of a natural contour. My makeup came out really good when using these powders.

Overall, this palette is amazing!!! It's worth every penny I spent on it. I haven't tried the highlighters but I have  high expectations for them due to the blush and the bronzer. I'm going away next week and this palette is coming with me. I want to try more of their products now, any recommendations?
